Mountains are often mentioned in the bible. For me they are significant for the fact that they are ancient, awesome, magnificent and continually remind us of God’s creation. Light and clouds change our view of them, displaying different facets and emphasizing their beauty, yet they remain the same, they are there in the morning when we wake and in the evening when the sun goes down. They are unshakable, like God Himself. Even if I painted them for the rest of my life, I could never capture small measure of their greatness but by them I am continually reminded of His majesty and power and this is what inspires me.
